Accounts Payable Specialist

One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a Government client in Arlington, VA. The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide financial and administrative support to the Financial Services Division, assisting management and staff with day-to-day financial activities and operations. This position will work closely with federal employees, contractors, and various divisions to support accurate and timely financial processing.

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial audits, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
• Support the identification and resolution of accounting and financial discrepancies or issues.
• Prepare journal entries and perform financial data entry.
• Process payments and associated financial documentation.
• Receive, organize, and distribute invoices and financial correspondence.
• Perform mail and invoice distribution.
• Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
• Coordinate with federal employees, contractors, and other departments regarding financial and accounts payable matters.
• Provide ad hoc administrative and financial support to management and other branches as needed.
• Ensure assigned financial activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing accounts payable functions.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial management concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Momentum-based systems.
• Strong data entry and financial documentation skills.
• Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when processing financial information.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to successfully undergo and pass a Tier 2 background investigation.
• Must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA, Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable experience supporting a U.S. Government agency.
• Previous experience working in a federal financial management environment.
• Experience with financial reconciliations, payment processing, journal entries, and financial reporting.
