As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a critical role by ensuring vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.

This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting or finance career who enjoys structured work, learns quickly, welcomes coaching, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of invoices.

What You'll Do

  • Process a high volume of vendor and subcontractor invoices with speed and accuracy.
  • Review invoices for proper documentation, coding, and approvals.
  • Enter accounts payable transactions into company accounting systems.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist vendors and internal teams with payment inquiries.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and documentation.
  • Support monthly reconciliations and other accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Work closely with the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure timely and accurate processing.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Comfortable processing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes and accept coaching and direction.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
