What we offer

The Johnson Controls’Accelerated Commercial Excellence (ACE) Program is anearly career18-month sales development programdesigned to transform recent graduates intoskilled salesindividuals.Over the course of the program, participants receive intensive training, hands-on experience and mentorship to build technical expertise and sales acumen, preparing them for impactfulsalesroles within our organization.For the firstsixmonthsof the program, you willbe located inMilwaukee, WI.(Northwest suburb ofGlendaleWI.) During theremaining part of theprogram, you willbe requiredtorelocateto U.S. Southeast (Atlanta GA or Florida), Mountain (Denver COorSalt Lake City UT),Pacific(California)or Northeast (BostonorNew YorkGreater Area)as yourpermanentassignedlocation.Thisroleis designed to help top talent developsales fundamentals, outsidesalesskills, customer relationship building andproductexpertisefor Johnson Controls’Building Management Systems (BMS)business unit.You will report to the ACE Program Manager during the first 4 months then transition to a specificBMSSalesManager.Under general supervision, you willsupporttheBMSproduct portfolio (BASControls,OEMControls,Fire Detection or SecuritySolutions)with commercialoperations andvarioussales responsibilities.This position will help you gainvaluablesalesexperience whileproviding aid toour customers and field sales team.
Howwill youdo it
Provide technical, commercial, and pricing support toBMSfront linesales personnel(Channel AccountManagers, Area Sales Managersor Field Sales Engineers)and customers.
Establish monthly cadence withexistingOutside Salesrepsto attend andparticipatein customer-facing meetings and QBRs
Developcustomerrelationships with managed andmaintainedaccounts to generate new business opportunities,promote new productintroductionsandreport feedback
Provide problem-solvingassistancetocustomerswhen issues arisesuch asorder management, quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, productselectionsupport, etc.
Prepare and lead internal product presentations (SME) to develop general soft skills and prepare for customer-facing situations
Travel to manufacturing/testing facilities and customer locations for live training and sales shadowing (approximately onceor twice per quarter)
Assistsales team with opportunity pipeline management and account information updates in CRM tool
Develop relationships and enable cross collaborationwithcustomer serviceagents, tech supportspecialistsand field tech engineers
Attendfrequenttraining sessions to buildBMS (ControlsBAS, Controls OEM, Fire Detection or Security)productknowledge,fundamentalsalestacticsand processes
Create,analyzeand customizesales reports and dashboards usingPowerBItool
Promote customer usageforour online ordering portal (Solution Navigator)and report feedback
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree minimum (Mechanical, Industrial,Electricalor ComputerEngineering Degree highly preferred)
Recent graduate or undergraduate senior expecting to graduate betweenApr2026–Jun2026. Program starts inJun2026
Proficiencywith Microsoft 365programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Must have the ability to be in Milwaukee, WI (Glendale WI) for the firstsixmonthsof the program, then relocate toeitherU.S. Southeast (Atlanta GA or Florida), Mountain (Denver CO/Salt Lake City UT), Pacific (California) or Northeast (Boston MA / New York)areastotransitionto anestablishedbase.
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Technical internship experience is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Available to travel up to 20% – dependent upon your assignments
