Job Description
Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. is seeking contract instructors to teach ACT preparation classes to be held in partnership with Auburn University Successful candidates will possess past success on standardized tests, previous teaching or public speaking experience, and a willingness to work weekdays in the summer. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Class sessions cover math, verbal, and science skills and are presented using PowerPoint modules in conjunction with associated textbooks and study aids. The PowerPoint course materials have been created by experienced test preparation instructors and former test item writers, so no curriculum development will be required with the position.
Contract instructors are typically offered 1-4 courses per year, with each course consisting of 15-20 face-to-face hours of classroom instruction. Pay rate begins at $40 per hour of instruction.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver instruction for an existing curriculum.
- Keep and submit accurate attendance records.
- Complete occasional online training.
- No curriculum development is required.
Qualifications:
- Experience with teaching or public speaking.
- Past success on standardized tests.
- Proficiency in both math and verbal skills tested on the ACT.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
