Job Description

The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics invites applications for residential (on-campus) adjuncts in the following mathematics courses: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus I.Key Responsibilities Include:

Delivering education in adherence to the syllabusTeaching courses in accordance with University guidelinesAvailability on weekends or evenings for frequent and timely communicationMotivating and assisting students in completion of course learning objectivesActively committing to student spiritual formation and growthMaintaining a strong commitment to excellenceModeling Christ-like attitudes and valuesFollowing a biblical approach to student engagementIntegrating biblical concepts and worldview

Adjuncts may be utilized on a temporary, part-time basis to provide instruction during the academic year as instructional needs arise. These temporary adjunct positions are subject to Cedarville University policies, verification of credentials and other information required by law including the successful completion of a background check. Positions are subject to budget approval. These positions are located in Cedarville, Ohio.Position Requirements:

Master's Degree in Mathematics; Intermediate Algebra adjunct qualifications are satisfied by a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics.Prior teaching experienceExhibit expertise (either work or research) in the discipline to be taughtProven ability to think critically and creativelyCapacity to integrate the Bible into student assessments and student interactionsAbility to learn education delivery platform (Ex: Canvas)Qualified applicant must be a born-again ChristianApplicants must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards
