Job Description
Teach Art Therapy courses as needed during the academic year.
Education: Master's degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field required. A terminal degree and/or ATR-BC/licensure is preferred.
Experience: Professional experience in art therapy or related clinical practice required. Teaching experience, particularly at the university level, is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Blackboard or Canvas (or comparable LMS) and familiarity with digital tools relevant to teaching.
Technologically adept and comfortable integrating media into instruction.
Self-motivated, reliable, and responsible.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and adapt curriculum for Art Therapy courses as needed.
Create and evaluate assignments in a timely fashion, providing constructive feedback.
Attend department orientations and trainings as required.
Support students in connecting studio practice with therapeutic theory and application.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.
