Job Description
- Deliver engaging lecture and laboratory instruction in animation and game development.
- Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance and mentorship.
- Contribute to curriculum development aligned with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including meetings and committees.
- Support student recruitment and program growth efforts.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support academic excellence.
- Master’s degree in Game Development & Design, Interactive Media, Information Technology, Video Game Programming, or a closely related field AND one (1) year of full-time industry experience OR a professional portfolio demonstrating applied industry work OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a related field AND one (1) year of full-time industry experience or portfolio OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND four (4) years of full-time industry experience in a production and/or studio environment.
- Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage a diverse student population.
- Experience with active learning techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
