Job Description
To provide quality group and individual treatment to psychiatric patients. To serve as a member of interdisciplinary treatment team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of high-quality treatment to psychiatric patients.
*Pay Range: $27/hr. to $35/hr.
Essential functions:
- Conducting Adjunctive Therapy assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment by interviewing the patient.
- Providing individual and group treatment using various treatment modalities from their discipline and training background.
- Attending treatment team meeting to provide adjunctive therapy (expressive, recreational and life skills) perspective.
- Reporting to community/state agencies any patient issues required
- Demonstrating conduct in keeping with Aurora ethical standards
- Complying with facility safety, infection control and security program.
- Participating in activities internal and external customer service standards
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. recreation therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy or related equivalent discipline)
- Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. art therapy, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degrees in relevant fields
- Certification preferred
- Mental health experience preferred
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology
- BLS (Basic Life Support ) Certification for Healthcare Providers following the American Heart Association guidelines
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degrees in relevant fields
- Certification preferred
- Mental health experience preferred
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology
