Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Community Schools Program | Richland County, Ohio | Up to $17/hr | Part Time - 21-13641Spherion Mid Ohio's Professional Division is partnering with an established Richland County organization seeking a part time Administrative Assistant to support a Community Schools Program. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, tech comfortable, and excited to learn a unique administrative support role within an education focused environment.This position will start at approximately 15-20 hours per week , with the potential to develop into full time down the road. There may be some limited hybrid flexibility over time, but this person should be comfortable working closely with the team, attending meetings, supporting school visits, and learning the community school sponsorship and compliance environment.Pay and ScheduleThis is a part time opportunity offering up to $17/hr , based on experience and overall fit. The schedule is expected to be approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility available based on program needs and candidate availability.What Makes This Opportunity Stand OutThis is a meaningful administrative support role where the right person can become a key part of a growing and highly collaborative program. The Community Schools Program supports 9 plus community and charter schools , helping with communication, compliance tracking, school support, documentation, and ongoing program coordination.This person does not need to come in with a specific background in education. A background in education, education studies, school administration, compliance, nonprofit, or public sector work could be helpful, but it is not required. The bigger priority is finding someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable with technology, eager to learn, and able to manage details with care.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative and Program Support
- Provide administrative support to the Community Schools Program team, including document management, scheduling, communication, and ongoing coordination.
- Assist with tracking details, deadlines, records, school information, compliance items, and follow up needs.
- Help maintain organized files, shared documents, calendars, and program materials.
- Support communication between internal team members, schools, external partners, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with compliance tracking and documentation related to community and charter school sponsorship.
- Help keep school partners informed of updates, deadlines, new requirements, and important reminders.
- Assist with tracking legislation, bills, and education related updates for internal awareness.
- Support preparation and follow up related to school visits, meetings, and required documentation.
- Assist with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, board meeting support, and meeting minutes.
- Help prepare, format, and organize communication materials for schools and program partners.
- Support newsletter creation, including taking provided information and turning it into a polished, professional communication piece.
- Help create flyers, calendars, invitations, reminders, and other program materials.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Office, Canva, email, calendars, shared files, and other programs to support the team.
- Help make materials visually organized, professional, and easy to follow.
- Learn new systems, processes, and platforms as needed.
- Bring creativity, organization, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
- Strong administrative, clerical, office support, or coordination experience.
- Very strong attention to detail and follow through.
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems and programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, email, calendars, document management, and general technology.
- Canva experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to take information provided by others and turn it into polished written or visual communication.
- Comfort working with internal teams, school representatives, outside partners, attorneys, and education related contacts.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Someone who enjoys learning and is comfortable with a large learning curve.
- This is a part time position offering up to $17/hr , based on experience and overall fit.
