Job Description
Essential Functions
- Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage school email communications
- Maintain student records, attendance data, and confidential files in accordance with school policies and privacy regulations
- Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and coordination of meetings and school events
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and school correspondence
- Support teachers and administrators with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and preparing materials
- Coordinate student registration, enrollment, and withdrawal processes
- Manage inventory and order office and classroom supplies as needed
- Support emergency drills and safety protocols, including contacting parents and staff as needed
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and district or diocesan offices
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
Position Qualifications
- Some college experience a plus.
- 2-5 years' experience in an administrative support role.
- Previous experience in an educational setting (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, and Google Docs.
- Knowledge of principles and practice of office management.
- Commitment to exemplary customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to participate in on-going training.
- Teamwork with an emphasis on flexibility and adaptability.
- Effective problem solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to deal with the ambiguity of handling new questions or problems that occur throughout the day.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
- Willingness to research previous solutions as a resource in solving current issues.
- Punctuality.
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00, Annualized
