Job Description
Provide support to Assistant Chief Nursing Officer and other members of nursing leadership when necessary by performing and office staff duties with considerable latitude for exercising sound judgement and discretion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years’ experience in a customer service setting with experience in a health care setting preferred.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extremely neat in appearance with a personable, tactful, and courteous manner in dealing with a wide variety of people.
- Position involves planning, judgement, and rapid adjustment to the unexpected.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, basic navigation and use of email.
- Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently.
- Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality.
- Ability to transcribe documents.
- Proficient listening, verbal and written communication skills.
