Administrative Graduate Assistant (AGA) Graduate School
JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Graduate Assistant (AGA) will assist the School of Law's Administrative Assistant to the Dean in her role as the principal contact for the Office of the Dean. Accordingly, the AGA will help the Dean's Office in its daily functions while maintaining the image and standards of the law school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing basic office duties, conducting research, keeping the Dean's Suite and Administrative Suite organized and tidy, planning and executing events, setting up for meetings, performing receptionist duties when needed, running errands both on and off campus, and assisting other law school administrators as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) degree from a four-year college or university
Must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at Liberty University
Possess a professional demeanor
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB
Communication and Comprehension
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University School of Law to a variety of visitors and guests

- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
Physical and Sensory Abilities
Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop while working law school events
Occasionally lift 10 or fewer pounds
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It has good lighting and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Will need to occasionally drive personal vehicle on and off campus to run errands.
