Job Description
Administrative / Legal Assistant - Immigration
Looking to support a local immigration law firm located in downtown Portland, Oregon specializing in employment immigration and some family immigration matters. Our team of legal assistants, paralegals and attorneys seeks an additional administrative/legal assistant to provide support with preparation and finalization of applications and petitions, and general office operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Reviewing, sorting, and distributing mail
- Copying, scanning, and saving documents to appropriate network folders
- Updating multiple databases with sensitive client data
- Coordinating delivery and return of documents to clients and government agencies
- Drafting engagement letters, emails, and client correspondence for review
- Opening and closing files
- Reviewing client information and preparing forms and letters associated with petitions and applications for filing with government agencies
- Reception, answering phones, greeting clients
REQUIREMENTS
- High level attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter
- Exemplary organization and prioritization skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe
Pay: From $24.00 per hour DOE
Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
