In December 2024, United Engineers and Constructors was acquired by Aecon Group Inc. Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.

We are seeking a Document Control Administrator to help manage project information for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. The successful candidate will also provide general support to project and document control teams.

What You'll Do Here

  • The successful candidate will help manage document and drawing lifecycles in Aconex and SharePoint, including uploading, revisions, transmittals, distribution, and archiving project records
  • Coordinating with the project information manager (PIM), the document control administrator will provide document control, general project administration, meeting coordination, in addition to other project-based activities.
  • Maintain accurate document registers, logs, revision histories, and status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with project and client document control procedures, naming conventions, numbering, and metadata.
  • Perform quality checks prior to internal issue and client submission
  • Track document deadlines, overdue items, and follow up with project teams
  • Support audits by maintaining document traceability and version control
  • Provide user support for Aconex and SharePoint, including workflows and access requests
  • Assist with meeting coordination, minutes, and action item tracking.
  • Support onboarding of project staff, consultants, and vendors
  • Maintain contact lists, distribution lists, and project filing systems. Assist with record retention and archiving activities.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Education: High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of prior document control experience supporting an engineering, procurement, construction or infrastructure project.
  • Hands on experience with Aconex and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple document control and administrative priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Works independently with minimal supervision, serves as a reliable document control resource for assigned projects.
  • Working knowledge of SAP software is preferred.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to operate with urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Salary Range & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $65,000.00 -- $85,000.00 annually
