Job Description

The Adoption Department at Lund seeks a Adoption Clinician who is a compassionate and experienced therapist with a heart for children and families navigating the path of adoption and healing from trauma. We are seeking a thoughtful, collaborative, and adoption-competent clinician to join our team and provide therapeutic services to youth and families formed through adoption and guardianship.

This role provides intensive trauma-informed, family-focused therapy to 8-10 youth and their families each year. Services may take place in homes, virtually, or in-office, depending on the needs of the family and location across the different counties assigned. The Clinician completes thorough assessments of family strengths, challenges, and histories to help build trust and understanding and develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals and objectives to support long-term stability and healing.

As a key member of each youth’s care team, this role collaborates closely with Wendy’s Wonderful Kids® Recruiters and other service providers—especially those delivering post-permanency support—to ensure a coordinated, wraparound approach. They serve as an advocate for youth and caregivers, helping them navigate systems and access the resources they need to thrive. Diligent documentation of all services—including progress notes and treatment updates—is essential to ensure compliance with Medicaid, insurance, and agency standards.

This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position that requires frequent travel throughout northern Vermont, serving Chittenden, Addison, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Washington, Orleans, and Essex Counties. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. For the full job description, click here.

Research shows that individuals from marginalized groups—such as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, people with disabilities, and those from working-class backgrounds—often hesitate to apply for jobs unless they can see themselves meeting and performing every responsibility and requirement. However, many skills can be learned on the job. If you can see yourself adding value to the role, our clients, staff, and guests and meeting most of the responsibilities and qualifications, we encourage you to apply!

What You Will Bring:

  • Masters in psychology, social work or counseling required. Licensure or ability to be licensed preferred.
  • Preferred 3 years of professional experience in trauma-informed and adopt-related work or an equivalent combination of transferrable professional and lived experience.
  • Ability to maintain a valid VT Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

The successful completion of a background check and driving check is a condition of employment.
