$22.00 - $30.25

Position Summary:

The Advanced Technician provides expert level technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance across complex systems and equipment. This role serves as a subject matter expert, resolving escalated issues, performing advanced diagnostics, and ensuring operational continuity. The Advanced Technician leads continuous improvement efforts, mentors junior staff, and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance. The position requires strong analytical abilities, technical precision, and a commitment to delivering high quality service in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on complex systems, equipment, and technology platforms.
  • Resolve high severity or escalated technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
  • Interpret technical documentation, schematics, and system data to support accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and test equipment and components in accordance with technical standards.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to optimize technical operations.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance requirements, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and other teams to support new initiatives, resolve persistent issues, and advance organizational goals.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding system status, risks, and recommended solutions.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior technicians, offering guidance and training to build team capability.
  • Share best practices and assist in developing standardized procedures and knowledge resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience; or an associate degree preferred and up to 2 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of standard biotech laboratory practices, including pipetting, weighing, pH measurement, mixing, and spectrophotometry.

  • Knowledge of basic scientific calculations and statistics.
  • Skills in documentation, record‑keeping, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Skills in problem-solving and troubleshooting routine laboratory or production issues.
  • Strong organizational abilities and extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, processes, and equipment quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in a laboratory and production environment with exposure to chemicals, reagents, and standard lab equipment.
  • Standard business hours, with occasional variation depending on production needs.
  • Minimal or no travel required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 5-50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive laboratory tasks for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity required for laboratory equipment and fine measurement techniques.
