Job Description
The APRN or Physician Assistant provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. The APRN or PA is responsible for rounding inpatient for a busy consulting hepatology service seeing transplant and non-transplant hepatology patients. Maintains an annual protocol with supervising physician, as required by state professional regulatory agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.
- Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
- Adult Gerontology Acute Care or Acute Care board certification required for APRNs.
- Transplant surgery experience preferred.
