Job Summary:

This is a full time Instructor to Sr. Instructor position in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Children's Hospital Colorado. We are seeking a dynamic, patient-centered, board certified/eligible advanced practice provider to be a part of our expanding and dynamic sleep medicine program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Outpatient clinical care
  • Triage, Consult and Outpatient Consultative services

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of an indeterminate number of days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. On-site work will occur in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Instructor:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or equivalent education as a physician's assistant.
  • Licensed, or license-eligible to practice professional advanced nursing in Colorado, for PAs, Physician Assistant Certificate.
  • Registration, or ability to register with a State Board Agency of Nursing as an Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician's Assistant
  • 1-3 years pediatric experience

Sr. Instructor:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or equivalent education as a physician's assistant.
  • Licensed, or license-eligible to practice professional advanced nursing in Colorado, for PAs, Physician Assistant Certificate.
  • Registration with a State Board Agency of Nursing as an Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician's Assistant
  • 5 years pediatric experience

Condition of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Some positions may require testing if access to Children's Hospital or their systems is needed at any time during employment with the University. If drug testing is required, it will be listed in the job posting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One to three years pediatric experience
  • One to three years, sleep, pediatric pulmonary or neurology experience
  • Prescriptive Authority
  • Experience with non-invasive ventilation interfaces and modalities a plus
  • Experience with XLTEK sleep software
  • Inpatient experience a plus
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record, email, and other medical technologies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

● Knowledge appropriate for individuals completing APN or PA School

● Pediatric clinical assessment skills

● Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.

● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Instructor: $103,000 to $111,000

Sr. Instructor: $113,000 to $121,000

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
