Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will support new product development and the transition of early‑stage designs into scalable, manufacturable products. This role works closely with Design Engineers, Scientists, Technicians, and Production teams to ensure manufacturing readiness, troubleshoot production and customer issues, and continuously improve existing products. The position is highly hands‑on and floor‑focused, supporting both prototype builds and production operations. Client Details Our client is a well‑established technology manufacturer specializing in advanced detection and instrumentation systems used in laboratory, industrial, nuclear, and space research applications. They combine deep technical expertise with in‑house manufacturing and offer a stable, collaborative environment focused on quality, reliability, and innovation. Description Responsibilities:Support manufacturing readiness during new product development and transition to production
Conduct testing to verify proper operation of products and manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, and in‑process production issues
Repair or replace defective components and support corrective actions
Assist with building engineering prototypes and early‑stage hardware
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product and process performance
Support production operators with technical issues and process guidance
Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate manufacturing and engineering documentation
Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with workplace safety standards Profile Ideal Candidate:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical technician, or manufacturing engineering support role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment
Certified soldering experience required
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints
Hands‑on troubleshooting mindset with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams
Basic machining skills are a plus
