Adventureland Park - Warehouse Supervisor (Seasonal)

Supervisory Duties:

• Supervise the daily operations of the Warehouseteamand any other assigned departments

• Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation ofAdventureland’score values

• Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assignedhost

• Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environmentfor colleagues and guests.

• Becomeknowledgeable ofperforming the essential duties of allwarehousepositions and backfill thesepositions when needed

• Participate inall aspects of supervision of assignedhosts, includinghiring,orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.

• Ensure that all requiredmealand other breaks are being givenin accordance withIowalaw

• Assistwithteamscheduling and timekeeping activities

Departmental Duties:

• Conduct opening and closing proceduresofall assigned areas. 

• Practice,teach and enforce proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and local Health Departmentrequirements. 

• Maintain all alcohol safety practices when applicable. 

• Oversee quality controls of food items and ensure perishables are being rotated properly.

• Ensure thatcleanliness of all interiors and exterior warehouse areasis maintained.  

• Manage inventory, focusingaccurateandtimelyreceiving, order fulfilment,physicaland cycle counts and waste controls.  

• Interface with other stakeholders on product and supply needs.  

• Interface with maintenance on all equipmentor physical plant needs.  

• Inspect all products that are delivered to ensure they are undamaged. 

• Ensure that all invoices from deliveries are properly received and communicated to the proper colleagues for payment.

• Ensure that the Warehouseteamis following safety guidelines set by the organization as well as OSHA, Departmentof Health, State, and Local guidelines.

• All other dutiesassigned byleadership

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentpreferred

• 2+ years ofpreviouswarehouse experienceand/or supervisor experience preferred.

• Mustbecomecertified tooperateforklifts and/or other mechanical equipmentwithin30 daysof hire.

Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluentEnglish Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:  

• Must be atleast 18 yearsof age tocomply withIowaChild Labor Laws

• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to work until later hours of the evening, from open to close

• Mustpossessa valid driver’s license anda good drivingrecord

• Ability tosafely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment

• Mustpossessexceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constantdeadlinesand coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Mustpossessstrong written and verbal communication skills

• Mustpossessstrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiencyin Microsoft products, including Excel

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday

• Ability tofrequentlystoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

• Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer

• Ability to work in enclosed spaces and refrigerated areas

• Ability to withstand heat and humidity in the various food stands and restaurants

• Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner

• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 poundsor more

• Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

• Ability to seedetails of objects that are more than a few feet away

Working Conditions:

• This role will be based in both an office setting as well as many other indoor and outdoorparklocations

• Subject to frequentinterruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities

• Frequentexposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, andother weather conditions

• Subject to refrigerated temperatures on a regular basis

• Subject to frequentrepetitive motion and lifting of heavy objects

• Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents
