Job Description
A Day In The Life...
This position is responsible for creating an exhilarating adventure for our guests in the Aerial Treetop Adventure (ATA) Course at Gunstock. Your job will be to supervise all aspects of the ATA operation and provide an interactive and enjoyable experience for our guests. Must be comfortable leading groups ranging in age from children to older adults with all levels of fear and expectations. Successful candidates will be energetic and fun-loving with an uncompromising commitment to safety.
You will spend most of your time...
- Off the ground, high up in the trees
- Assisting with the supervision of all aspects of daily ATA operations including, but not limited to: hiring, staff scheduling and work assignments; opening and closing procedures; equipment inventory and maintenance; and pre-season and routine safety inspections
- Conducting equipment, line & platform inspections as required; maintain accurate documentation of daily, monthly and annual inspection logs; ensure 100% compliance with resort and regulatory standards; communicate all repair and maintenance issues to department manager in a timely manner
- Providing clear and direct coaching to employees to address guest service, safety, performance or conduct issues; take corrective action as needed
- Assisting with the coordination and facilitation of new hire and in-service training for ATA Guides and maintain accurate records of employee certifications and training
What We Need From You...
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Exceptional guest service and coaching skills
- Basic knowledge of high ropes adventure course and zip lines preferred but not required
- Ability to move about the mountain and base area to supervise employee activities and inspect attractions; ability to ascend/descend ladders to access rope courses, ziplines, and platforms
- Ability to move equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 10lbs regularly, up to 25lbs frequently, and up to 50lbs occasionally
