Job Description Summary

The Aero Product Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for our Gas Power customers on GE Vernova supplied equipment, including the gas turbine package, engine and auxiliary systems. In this role you will provide technical assistance related to Installation & Commissioning (I&C) of new units and technical troubleshooting of operating units (gas turbine package / engine / generator and accessories) in the North American (NAM) region. In some instances, you will assist in complex investigations for field events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support of the GE Vernova Aero LM products (TM/LM2500, LM6000, LMS100).
  • Provide customer issue resolution through preparation and delivery of technical documents.
  • Oversee technical Installation & Commissioning activities of new GE Vernova Aero products.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate customer support via use of Service Now.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
  • Off-Hour availability and some travel time may be required.
  • Perform site event analyses to determine root cause and corrective actions / preventative actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting Aero product service or similar engineering experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Gas Power Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX, Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Previous working experience with GE Aeroderivative Gas Turbine engine, package or controls systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical / electrical systems, oil systems, fuel systems, water systems, generators, controls systems or other auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings (one line diagrams, controls logic, schematics, P&ID, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot assembly related issues and / or gas turbine package operational issues.
  • Experience leading projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Comfort with interacting with customers, in person, answering technical questions.
  • Demonstrated team player.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
