Job Overview
The Aerospace Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare parts and complete assembly operations according to work instructions.
- Drill, ream, and countersink holes to specified tolerances.
- Operate hydraulic presses to install bushings, bearings, and related components.
- Install rivets, nutplates, seals, bolts, and other aerospace hardware.
- Apply adhesives, sealants, fasteners, bearings, and related materials.
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, OHM meters, and other inspection equipment.
- Mark finished parts according to customer and engineering requirements.
- Follow manufacturing processes and work instructions exactly as defined.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and support FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Communicate material or supply shortages to supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Aerospace assembly experience is a plus but not required.
- Automotive, aviation, mechanical, or maintenance experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
