Who Are We?
Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest-growing kids coding franchise. In our JR in-school program, we introduce young children (ages 5–8) to the exciting world of coding, robotics, and science through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities. We focus on teaching early logic, problem-solving, and teamwork in a fun and nurturing group setting. Kids love coming to Code Ninjas, and parents love seeing their kids learn and grow. Our promise is simple: Kids have fun, parents see results, and we live by it every day.
What Are We Looking For?
We’re searching for a JR Sensei, a caring, energetic, and patient individual who enjoys working with young children in small group settings. As a JR Sensei, you’ll lead our youngest Ninjas through foundational coding activities, games, and teamwork exercises. You’ll help make learning fun, engaging, and full of creativity. If you love working with kids, especially younger ones, and want to help spark a love for learning, this could be the perfect role for you!
Experience (Preferred):
  • Childcare, preschool, early elementary education, or camp counseling
  • Group management or team leadership with young children
  • Exposure to coding, STEAM, or early tech education (a plus!)
Responsibilities Include:
  • Creating a safe, playful, and structured environment for kids ages 5–8
  • Leading group activities and games that teach basic problem-solving and collaboration
  • Keeping students engaged, excited, and supported throughout the session
  • Communicating clearly and positively with young learners
  • Following and reinforcing Code Ninjas’ age-appropriate curriculum
  • Assisting with setup and cleanup of materials
  • Supporting the Center Director and fellow Senseis as needed
What makes a great JR Sensei?
  • Experience working with groups of young children (teaching, babysitting, camp, etc.)
  • Warm, friendly, and upbeat personality
  • Comfortable managing a group and guiding behavior with patience and care
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to follow routines
  • Bonus: Experience with early childhood education, coding, or STEAM activities
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
