Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Road mapping
- Identify high value OEM replacement opportunities using failure data, market feedback, and competitive benchmarking; build and maintain a rolling 12–18 month aftermarket roadmap aligned with revenue and profitability targets.
- Translate customer issues (wear, durability, fit) into clear supplier briefs and validation criteria.
Supplier Engagement & Sourcing
- Act as the primary technical liaison with suppliers (domestic and international) to source and codevelop components, from concept through validation and launch.
- Drive supplier accountability across cost, quality, timelines, documentation, and change management; coordinate RFQs, first article approvals, and PPAP-like readiness.
Component Validation & Readiness
- Own fitment, durability, and functional validation to ensure true drop-in OEM compatibility and real-world performance.
- Review and interpret 2D drawings and technical documentation to confirm specifications and tolerances; CAD literacy helpful but not required.
Cross Functional Execution
- Coordinate with purchasing, quality, operations, and product management to manage trials, first articles, packaging, labeling, and launch handoffs.
- Build and track project plans to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the golf cart industry (aftermarket, service, or component side).
- Proven success managing suppliers and sourcing projects and launching new or replacement components.
- Ability to read 2D technical drawings and collaborate on specs/tolerances; CAD familiarity is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and the willingness to own outcomes and drive independently in a fast-paced environment.
- No engineering degree is required. We value practical technical depth with golf carts—service, parts, field validation, or supplier side development—over formal credentials.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hard goods/mechanical components (housings, brackets, suspension, driveline, electrical accessories).
- Familiarity with validation fixtures, test protocols, DOE basics, and supplier quality tools.
How We’ll Measure Success (KPIs)
- Time-to-market from brief to first customer ship
- Cost reduction vs. OEM part while meeting spec
- First pass yield/defect rate at supplier and in field
- Ontime delivery to project plan and launch gate adherence
Working Style
- A hands-on problem solver who balances technical understanding with practical execution, can manage multiple projects at once, and holds suppliers accountable while being a strong team player.
