Job Description

Community Resource Network of Floridais looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable andis committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.Looking for energetic caregiver to help two young individuals with ADLs, including activities like feeding, assistance with dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, monitoring and providing support. 

This is an independent contract position and pays $18.00 per hour.

Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 5:30pm-8:30pm

You will be a good fit for this position if you :

  • Have a positive outlook and contagious energy 
  • Demonstrate patience and compassion

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

  • Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
  • Meal/snack preparation 
  • Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment 
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks 
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
  • Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization 
  • Complete daily progress notes 
  • No personal care required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
  • Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • HHA certification
