Now Hiring: Prime-Time/Afterschool Counselor (Part-Time)
Do you love working with kids, bringing energy to every room, and making a difference after the school bell rings? Join our Afterschool team at the Y, where every afternoon is a chance to lead, laugh, and learn!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Running fun, enriching after-school activities kids actually look forward to
- Ensuring a safe and supportive space for every child
- Serving up snacks and smiles
- Communicating with families and school staff like a pro
- Jumping in to help keep the space tidy and ready for play
- Being a positive role model and go-to grown-up for our awesome participants
What You Bring:
- 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
- A heart for kids and a head for responsibility
- Strong communication skills and good judgment
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to get certified withing 45 days
- Willingness to learn YMCA curriculum (we'll train you!)
- Ability to lead 30+ minutes of active play, because we move!
- Reliable transportation
Experience in youth programs or early education is a plus!
