Job Description
Location: Norwich, VTPosition: Live-outSchedule: Afternoons, 4–5 days/week — approx. 3:00–5:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) and 2:00–5:30 PM (Wed), aligned with school pickupCompensation: $30–35/hour, depending on experienceStart Date: mid-to-late August
Guaranteed Hours: Two options depending on the candidate's availability. Option 1 — 15 guaranteed hours/week: the schedule above, focused on pickup and childcare responsibilities. Option 2 — 25 guaranteed hours/week: arrive approximately two hours before each pickup time to handle household duties, then transition into childcare.
Position OverviewA warm, active, and engaged nanny for three children (ages 5, 8, and 10) in Norwich, VT. This is an afternoon-focused role centered on school pickup, activities, and quality time. The family values a proactive caregiver who plans ahead, keeps the children engaged, and brings energy to the day.

Responsibilities
- School pickup and walk home
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and outings
- Host and attend playdates
- Drive children to instrument lessons, sports, and activities
- Help the youngest child with reading
- Support the family's gentle-parenting approach — clear boundaries, calm redirection, explaining rather than harsh discipline
- Light tidying related to the children
Requirements
- Valid driver's license; confident winter driving
- Comfortable driving a family-provided vehicle
- Strong swimmer, comfortable swimming with children
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Current flu vaccination
- Comfortable managing a child's food allergy, including carrying an epipen
- Reliable, patient, organized, detail-oriented, and active — happy to head outside in any weather and turn the day into an adventure
- Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
