Job Description
Our client's market-leading Agency Finance practice focuses on complex, cross-border financing transactions within emerging markets globally. This group is at the forefront of essential infrastructure projects in Latin America, Central and South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East.
As an Associate, you will advise development finance institutions, multilateral agencies, and regional development banks. Your work will span a diverse array of sectors including renewable energy, financial services, telecommunications, and transportation. You will handle a high-sophistication portfolio involving project finance, corporate lending, loan participations, and political risk insurance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Current Associate (Class Years 2022–2025) with a background in project finance, structured finance, or corporate finance from a leading domestic or international law firm.
- Sector Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with energy/infrastructure projects and a familiarity with the mechanics of development finance institutions (DFIs).
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French is highly preferred due to the nature of the cross-border transactions.
- Soft Skills: Action-oriented mindset with the desire to take on significant deal responsibility early in your career.
- Bar Admission: Must be admitted to the State Bar of New York or District of Columbia (or eligible to waive in).
