Job Description

Job Title: AI Architect / FDE – Healthcare

Salary: $200,000 – $220,000

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Architect / Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead AI-enabled enterprise architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering, and system integration within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GCP, Vertex AI, Generative AI, Java, and Spring Boot, along with expertise in enterprise integration and scalable cloud-native solutions.

The role requires the ability to translate business and technology requirements into practical AI solutions, integrate modern and legacy systems, and collaborate effectively with senior business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AI-enabled enterprise architecture and cloud-native solutions using GCP.
Develop Generative AI solutions using Vertex AI, including prompt engineering, model integration, governance, and production deployment considerations.
Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and integrate microservices and REST APIs with appropriate security and scalability.
Connect modern cloud platforms with legacy enterprise systems.
Evaluate and apply AI productivity tools, including Claude and Antigravity, to support engineering and solution delivery.
Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to align architecture and implementation with business objectives.
Support the integration of AI capabilities into enterprise workflows and technology platforms.

Required Qualifications

12+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial experience in cloud, enterprise, integration, or AI/ML architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architecture.
Experience with Vertex AI and Generative AI solution design.
Knowledge of prompt engineering, model integration, AI governance, and production deployment considerations.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing microservices, REST APIs, secure applications, and scalable backend systems.
Experience integrating modern and legacy enterprise platforms.
Ability to evaluate and apply AI productivity tools such as Claude and Antigravity.
Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with senior business and technology leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare industry experience.
Experience with clinical operations and payer/provider integration.
Experience working in regulated environments.
Relevant Google Cloud certifications.
