About the Role

Alumni Ventures (AV) is pioneering the use of AI Pods — compact, high-velocity teams where an executive, cutting-edge technology, and an AI-native operator collaborate to produce outsized results. As an AI Associate to our Marketing Team you’ll serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution — accelerating growth by embedding directly into the Chief Community Officer's (CCO) day-to-day operations.

This is a unique opportunity for a technically fluent, action-oriented professional eager to combine marketing, analytics, and automation in a fast-paced, venture-backed environment. You’ll help drive key marketing initiatives, streamline operations, and prototype AI-augmented systems that elevate the entire function.

What You'll Do

AI Enablement & Automation

• Build and maintain custom GPTs and AI agents to support campaign workflows and executive productivity.
• Design automations for recurring marketing processes using tools like Zapier, Python, and low-code platforms.
• Identify bottlenecks in the marketing funnel and develop solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Marketing Ops & Performance Analysis

• Develop dashboards and diagnostics to monitor campaign performance, lead funnels, and content ROI.
• Conduct A/B testing ideation and collaborate with the growth team on experiment design and reporting.
• Prepare strategic materials, including marketing updates for board meetings and investor briefings.

Strategic & High-Touch Support

• Join leadership meetings, take notes, maintain trackers, and follow through on action items.
• Draft memos, campaign summaries, internal newsletters, and marketing briefs for internal and external stakeholders.

Research & Insight Generation

• Perform fast-turn market research, competitive analyses, and audience segmentation to support campaign strategy.
• Help evaluate marketing tools and platforms, staying on the frontier of AI-enabled growth tactics.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, CS, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent self-taught capability.
• Demonstrated fluency with Gen-AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python preferred), API integrations, and automation platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for building fast, functional MVPs.
• Exceptional written communication — you’re a clear, concise, and persuasive writer.
• Thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and learns even faster.
• Willing and able to commute daily to the Manchester office.
