Please note: This role is contingent upon contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award.  

Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client’s business.    

ICF is seeking an experienced and driven Artificial Intelligence Lead to oversee mission-critical initiatives in support of the General Service Administration (GSA). In this role, you will help integrate and orchestrate multiple AI agents while driving strategic direction, research, and development of AI technologies across the organization.   

Job Location-Must be able to go on-site 5 days a week to the client's office in Washington, DC. Hybrid work flexibility may be available after the first 90 days.

What You Will Do:  

  • Discovery of valuable problems to solve and validate potential solutions with other product managers, customers and the market. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the provider’s technical strategy and architecture, business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations. 

  • Collect the requirements from all relevant stakeholders for this common product/platform. 

  • Lead product strategy, planning, and life cycle management efforts to support the ongoing evolution and innovation of the capabilities that unite the overall product portfolio. 

  • Regularly communicate with product stakeholders and develop strong relationships to surface, balance and prioritize feedback from multiple groups such as other product managers, sales, marketing, engineering, architecture, customer support, customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX) leaders, as well as customers and the market. 

  • Establish product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve stakeholder outcomes, and which reflect the requirements on other products in the portfolio. 

  • Monitor business, market, and technology trends and competitive intelligence to understand how the expectations for these common capabilities may need to change over time. 

  • Guide and empower the product engineering team to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability). 

  • Proactively support the identification and resolution of blockers (including technical and resourcing) to achieve product business objectives. 

What You Will Bring With You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field   

  • 5+ years applying advanced AI and automation to streamline operations   

  • 5+ years architecting and implementing large-scale digital transformations (SaaS, cloud-native, AI-driven)   

  • 5+ years working with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google), serverless technologies, and managed services   

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.  

  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.) as this work is for a federal contract, and laws do apply.  

What We Would Like You To Bring With You: 

  • Experience supporting GSA IT programs is highly preferred 

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field  

  • Experience in developing AI initiatives with federal agency goals, managing AI governance and risk.  

  • Familarity with federal IT Standards, NIST guidelines, and security requirements related to the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process for cloud-deployed applications.  

  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing AI workloads and infrastructure within a secure AWS cloud environment. Deep understanding of integrating security controls throughout the entire AI lifecycle, consistent with DevSecOps principles.  

  • Proven history of developing a technical vision and executable strategies that emphasize AI and drive measurable outcomes   

  • Experience creating solutions using open source, AI, low/no-code platforms, agile methods, and secure cloud frameworks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business.  

  • Organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$130,687.00 - $268,824.00DC Client Office (DC88)
