Summary

The AI Knowledge Base & Data Operations Intern supports Weatherby's efforts to build and organize an internal AI-driven knowledge base. This role focuses on digitizing, organizing, coding, and loading historical and current documents-including serial number records and technical reference materials-into an AI model that employees will use as a trusted knowledge resource. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to AI concepts, data quality, and knowledge management while working closely with Customer Service and technical teams.

What You'll Do

• Digitize and organize historical documents, including scanned PDFs of serial number records and technical materials.
• Assist with coding, tagging, and structuring data so it can be accurately loaded into an internal AI model.
• Help ensure data quality by reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Support the organization of source documents and reference materials used by Customer Service Representatives and Gunsmiths.
• Learn how Weatherby's internal AI knowledge base is designed, maintained, and improved over time.
• Use Microsoft tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to assist with document organization and data workflows.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, technical teams, and project leads to understand how information is used in real-world scenarios.
• Document processes and provide feedback to help improve how knowledge is captured and maintained.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a high school, college, or technical program (technology, data, information systems, computer science, business, or related field preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of information.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools; interest or familiarity with AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot) is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills and basic technical aptitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Complete assigned data and documentation tasks accurately and on time.
• Maintain confidentiality and care when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
• Contribute positively to the accuracy and usability of the AI knowledge base.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing or walking.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Office/clerical setting with standard equipment. Occasional interaction with Customer Service or technical teams for learning and collaboration.
