Job Description

Analytica is seeking an experienced AI Risk Management & TEVV Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) across its lifecycle. This role focuses on enabling consistent, efficient, and outcome-driven adoption of trustworthy AI practices through advanced analysis, coordination, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AI governance, risk management, and evaluation planning, with the ability to synthesize complex standards and technical inputs into reusable, high-impact artifacts. This work supports evaluation planning, operational risk integration, and standards alignment, with Testing, Evaluation, Verification, and Validation (TEVV) treated as a crosscutting enabling capability rather than an execution function.

Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as a fastest-growing private U.S. small business. We work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions. We offer competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer-paid healthcare, training and development funds, and 401k match.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

AI RMF Implementation & Risk Management

  • Support lifecycle implementation of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF)
  • Enable contextual understanding, evaluation planning, and operational risk integration
  • Support TEVV planning and synthesis, ensuring alignment with AI risk management objectives (non-execution role)

Research, Analysis & Synthesis

  • Conduct research across AI governance, assurance, and standards landscapes
  • Analyze and synthesize technical and policy data into clear, actionable insights
  • Present findings, including:
    • Impacts and risks
    • Tradeoffs
    • Alternative approaches for Government consideration (without decision authority)

Standards Landscape & Crosswalk Development

  • Analyze AI and non-AI standards frameworks relevant to risk management and governance
  • Develop crosswalks between:
    • NIST AI RMF
    • Other related standards and frameworks
  • Support harmonization and alignment across evaluation, risk, and standards activities

Documentation & Artifact Development

  • Develop reusable deliverables, including:
    • Conceptual and guidance documents
    • Evaluation-ready documentation
    • Synthesis reports and coordination analyses
  • Draft proposed language, redlines, and alternative options for Government review

Coordination & Integration

  • Facilitate coordination across multi-stakeholder technical, policy, and standards efforts
  • Promote reuse, traceability, and consistency across outputs to reduce duplication
  • Integrate Government-provided inputs into cohesive and aligned deliverables

Program Support

  • Support execution of complex AI risk management and evaluation-related initiatives
  • Deliver high-quality outputs aligned with NIST’s mission of trustworthy AI
  • Reinforce governance, evaluation planning, and operational risk management efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s or PhD preferred in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Policy, or related field)
  • 8+ years of professional experience supporting:
    • AI risk management
    • AI evaluation planning, measurement, or assurance frameworks
    • Development of guidance, tools, or frameworks aligned to AI governance
  • Within that experience, 5+ years focused on implementation or operationalization of:
    • AI risk management
    • AI governance or assurance
    • Evaluation or TEVV-related activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF)
  • Familiarity with TEVV methodologies and evaluation planning processes
  • Experience working with:
    • Federal Government clients (NIST preferred but not required)
    • Standards organizations or regulatory bodies
  • Ability to translate complex technical and policy concepts into structured documentation
