Job Description
Job Purpose:
- AIMS serves as a skills and support day program. The AIMS Rehab Counselor II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER facilitates consumers in the AIMS Program in their recovery; assist in the achievement of their maximum recovery, and independence in life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance abuse and mental health issues.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families about substance abuse, mental health, and available community resources.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in substance abuse counseling and mental health treatment.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare systems.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to enhance their recovery and prevent relapse.
