Overview
Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of air permitting, including Title V, PSD, NSPS, and NESHAP. You will ensure all permit conditions are met and applications are renewed timely.
- Lead the development and submission of annual emissions inventories, ensuring high-fidelity recordkeeping and reporting.
- Oversee critical field activities, including stack testing and fugitive emissions monitoring, to ensure data accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Interpret evolving regulatory changes and update internal programs to maintain a "compliance-ahead" posture.
- Supervise and mentor the Air and Emissions team, providing technical review of work and supporting professional growth.
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering on project planning to assess how operational changes impact emissions and permitting.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, external consultants, and partners to maintain transparent and professional communications.
- Develop and manage budgets, resource planning, and forecasts for all air quality initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8-10 years of dedicated experience in air quality compliance, permitting, and emissions management.
- Proven track record in a supervisory role with the ability to mentor technical staff.
- Oil and Gas industry experience is required. We specifically prefer candidates with experience across both upstream production and midstream assets (gathering, compression, and processing).
- Strong familiarity with air regulations in Ohio and Pennsylvania is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Title V, PSD, NSPS, and NESHAP regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess risk and implement long-term mitigation strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements for senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- A flexible, professional approach to managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
