Adhering to our core values allows us to achieve optimum performance and create trusted relationships within the industry and throughout our communities.POSITION OBJECTIVEThe Specialist, Air Quality Regulatory Compliance is responsible for supporting the Manager, Air Quality Regulatory Compliance and other staff with corresponding programs. This includes maintaining various regulatory programs (ex. compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company initiatives and other air quality related elements) with a dedicated focus on air quality compliance. This role will also maintain programs for critical reporting tasks, assist in the maintenance of records, as well as generally support the Air Quality and Sustainability team and company operations. The Specialist, Air Quality Regulatory Compliance will provide guidance and support to ensure air quality programs, policies, and procedures remain in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations as well as external stakeholder standards, with a heavy focus on data management, regulatory tracking and reporting, and day-to-day operational compliance. - Maintain programs to efficiently and effectively comply with current and developing air quality regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and current air quality compliance records for various initiatives: leak detection and repair (LDAR) program, the Directed Inspection and Preventative Maintenance Program (DI/PM), emissions inventory reporting records, state/federal compliance reports and others as needed.
- Supports company Sustainability initiatives.
- Administer, compile, and submit timely state and federal reports, as assigned.
- Maintain historical compliance records and internal tracking systems.
- Assist in the evaluation of data as it relates to regulatory action.
- Develop methods to maximize the efficient collection of data and record management. Track the progress of all reporting to ensure all associated parties have the resources necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Provide support to Air Quality and Sustainability technical staff, operations, management, and contractors.
- Provide onsite support to company and contractor operations including performing inspections, as needed.
- Submit and maintain critical mailings and documentation (ex. agency submittals).
- Maintain Air Quality and Sustainability department reports, permits, regulatory correspondence, and other documentation as required.
- Collaborate with other company personnel, vendors, and business partners.
- Provide general support to the Air Quality and Sustainability team as needed for various tasks (ex. order supplies, organize trainings, etc.)
- Air Quality and/or Regulatory compliance knowledge and experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio and other Microsoft Office Suite products
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing presentation material
- Proficiency with GIS software and its derivatives (ex. ArcGIS and Survey123)
- Proficiency in analytical and/or modeling software
- Experience with databases, querying, and analyzing large datasets
