Request ID: 1459 Title: Aircraft Mechanic 3Locations: Iuka, MS 38852 Duration: 12 Months with possible extensionRate Range: $63 - $69/Hour on W2 (Without medical benefits & no PTO meaning no federal/national holidays as well)Work Schedule & Shift: (A shift) - Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm (B Shift) - Mon-Thurs 5:30pm-4amRoles & Responsibilities: Read and understand blueprints Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming Measures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedure Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectivenessBasic Qualification High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. U.S. Citizenship required for clearance. Must successfully complete and pass the ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need Must have the ability to work any shiftPreferred Qualifications: Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance Experience in aerospace manufacturing Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools (Drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws, tape measures, scales, micrometers, dial calipers, etc.) Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating proceduresExperience working to electronic or written instructions Ability to read engineering drawings
