Job Description
STS Technical Services is actively hiring Aircraft Quality Inspectors in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is a great opportunity to join a respected MRO facility and support CRJ airframe operations in a heavy maintenance environment. If you’re an experienced inspector with a valid A&P license and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Job Overview:
As an Aircraft Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, engineering specifications, and internal quality standards. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires precision, technical skill, and a deep understanding of inspection protocols under FAR 145, 121, or 135.
Job Location & Type:
- Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract or Contract-to-Direct
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day and night rotation, including weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections of aircraft and components under FAR 145, 121, or 135, or in accordance with military procedures
- Conduct quality checks on CRJ airframe maintenance activities
- Evaluate aircraft part fabrication processes and ensure compliance with documentation
- Interpret engineering drawings and maintenance manuals
- Use precision measurement tools and calibrated equipment to verify tolerances
- Document maintenance actions accurately and clearly
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to uphold safety and operational standards
- Pass hearing and vision tests as required for quality control roles
Required Qualifications:
- FAA A&P License required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aircraft inspections
- MRO or heavy maintenance experience required
- CRJ airframe experience required
- Strong working knowledge of aircraft fabrication processes, inspection tooling, and calibrated measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering instructions
- Proficient in verbal and written communication related to aircraft maintenance and compliance
- Must be comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and nights
