Summary: 

• Assembles, installs, seals, rigs, and inspects precision structural and system components using drawings, process specifications, and quality control requirements.

• Functional tests and corrects fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

• Obtains required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, and verbal or electronic data.

• Uses shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional tests.

• Utilizes tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.

• Verifies work per work instructions and engineering specifications and identifies discrepancies per applicable procedures.

• Performs routine minor machine maintenance including filter replacement, bulb changes, and lubrication or coolant level maintenance.

• Sets up and operates conventional and Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and fastening equipment of less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.

• Performs one or more specialties including Assembly or Installation of Structures, Sealer, or Sub Assembly.

• Performs one or more specialty skills including Assembly or Installation Doors, Integral Fuel Cell Sealing, Precision Bench Assembly, or Pressure and Vacuum testing.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Skin quality awareness for aircraft structural assembly.

• Repair knowledge for structural and system components.

• Fastener installation experience.

• Drill and countersink experience.

• Previous structures experience.

• Ability to assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect precision structural and system components.

• Ability to read and interpret prints, charts, sketches, and work instructions.

• Ability to use shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments.

• Ability to set up and operate conventional and CNC fastening equipment of less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.
