AK - Radiology Technologist (Ct/Xr) - $120 Rate

Job Description:

Flu vaccine required. ARRT CT and XR cert required.SEARHC does not provide housing or transportation for travelers. The agency is responsible for assisting their employees with these needs. Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received at SEARHC in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back. The Radiologic Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge andskills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients service on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the units/area/departments policies and procedures.+ CULTURE/RELIGIOUS ASPECTSEmployee will work with patients/employees of all cultural and religious backgrounds.ETHICS AND COMPLIANCEEmployee performs within the prescribed limits of SEARHC Ethics and Compliance Program. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.Perform diagnostic medical radiography within department and other areas.Maintain patient records and files.Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.Pursue continuing education.Transfer patient to and from radiology.Rotate shifts as required.Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.Follow policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.Assist in general hygiene of department and self.Should be able to work well in situations of stress.Must be willing to able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of a CT/XR training program

Pertains to Travel OB RN's:The nurse is on-call for 7 days in a row, 12 hours each day. The RN will receive a guaranteed 40 hours for the week. The nurse will not receive on-call or call back pay since they are already "on-call". The on-call nurse will have 30 minutes to respond to any page and cannot leave the island. On-call will rotate through staff every week, so each nurse will be on-call every 3 weeks.
