Job Description
AK License Required at time of submission Flu vaccine required. Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received at SEARHC in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back. Position Summary: This position is located within the Operating Room of SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. We handle all types of elective and emergency cases performed, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular and OB/GYN. Multi-tasks efficiently and ensures the surgical cases proceed throughout the day in a timely manner. Utilizes after-hour call services, to staff the Operating Rooms (OR), for nights, holidays and weekends. If you are a traveler who is experienced in the OR, please submit your resume for our review. Baseline Qualification Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, Associate degree in nursing or Diploma in nursing) High school diploma or GED A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska. 3 years OR experience. Other: Specify any desirable or additional qualifications beyond the baseline qualification requirements: Current BLS ACLS PALS Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred.

Any timecards not submitted on our approved timecard will be denied. The RN will receive a guaranteed 40 hours for the week. The nurse will not receive on-call or call back pay since they are already "on-call". The on-call nurse will have 30 minutes to respond to any page and cannot leave the island. On-call will rotate through staff every week, so each nurse will be on-call every 3 weeks.
