Job Description
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting an ALG Team Management Analyst. This position is responsible for firm wide support and implementation of Administrative Law 's strategic goals, initiatives and operations objectives. Administers the financial and administrative functions of the teams directed by team leadership. Manages the business function of practice groups within the Administrative Law Team. Proactively supports and assists the Team Management Director, Administrative Law Group and liaises directly with leadership, attorneys and staff on firm and team wide projects and initiatives. Proactively identifies opportunities to synchronize and streamline administrative processes across assigned legal teams with a focus on increased efficiency and productivity with minimal oversight. Manages time and workload to ensure client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of responsibility and to best meet the needs and expectations of team leadership and the Team Management Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works independently to execute and implement team and practice group strategic initiatives and daily operations, as identified by team leadership.
Works with the Team Management Director to implement ALG strategic plans and initiatives. Meets independently with key attorneys to help execute numerous sub-tasks in support of team plans and initiatives, and serves as the "go-to" administrative point of contact. Schedules working group meetings as necessary, and maintains data related to outcomes, projects, and targets relevant to team initiatives. Manages project administration. Responds to complex and confidential inquiries from team leadership, partners, lawyers, firm senior management, and staff. Recommends and implements solutions, and properly communicates issues to the Team Management Director or the appropriate person/department.
Develops and manages schedule of all team meetings and social functions; handles and oversees all scheduling and arrangements for Team Head; creates meeting agendas; compiles reference materials; attends and develops minutes for team meetings and other managerial and client meetings attended by Team Management Director and/or Team Head; prepares and submits timely electronic expense reimbursement and other payment requests.
Plans firm-wide team socials, team-building events, retreats, seminars, and client events, including oversight of logistics, contract negotiations with vendors, and program planning to ensure that arrangements for travel, lodging, and meals are handled appropriately. Develops and monitors budget and expenses consistent with firm guidelines. Liaises directly with clients prior to events and hosts clients at events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Other Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work long hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The expected salary range for Washington, DC based employees is $87,300 to $134,700 though salaries for employees based outside of Washington, DC may differ. Beyond an employment candidate's physical location, salary offers may be based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, training and/or experience.
