AM Host/Server Assistant

As Front Line Restaurant Staff, you would be trained for both Host/Hosting as well as Server Assistant. Depending on the position you are working you will be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining and/or for setting and clearing dining tables and stocking service stations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needsSeat guests and manage the seating chartMonitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flowPerform opening and closing duties, as neededAssist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.Ensure knowledge of the menuAssist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationshipsSet and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repairStock, maintain and clean designated food station(s)Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, bread, etc.Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing areaRespond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerWhat we are looking for1-year customer service experience preferredOpen schedule availabilityWhat we offerFree meal per shift and other food discountsHilton Hotels travel discount program401(k) with company matchPTO and Holiday payEmployee and guest focused environment
