At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across all properties, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. We are seeking an Amusements Team Member who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Amusements Team Member will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
This role exists to provide immediate leadership support to frontline hosts within the Games and Amusements division. This support is to be provided in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and policies of the Dollywood Company.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide proficient leadership to Games and Amusements hosts by training, directing, coaching, and evaluating staff
- Manage day to day budgets, expenses, staffing, and guest service
- Hold self and staff accountable to all company procedures and standards of conduct
- Describe different sales packages to guests and demonstrate proficient selling skills
- Operate a point of sale register including sales, refunds, transfers, and reporting
- Actively participate in the success of the Games and Amusements team through teamwork, service, and respect for others
- Perform regular inventories and cycle counts for various tickets and merchandise
- Manage the stock levels and merchandising of any assigned locations
- Assist in the maintenance and daily operation of any assigned location by ensuring cleanliness and display preparation functions are up to company standards
- Communicate any needed product, equipment, supplies, and help to reduce waste
- Adhere to all Amusements safety guidelines, complete regular safety tours, and conduct regularly scheduled safety trainings
- Protect the privacy, safety, and security of our guests and coworkers by completing PCI compliance and other required training
- Must be willing to have fun and create a fun and friendly environment for others
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum one (1) year of sales experience is required
- Minimum 6 months of previous leadership experience is preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience is required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a team environment, highly preferred

- Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
- Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time
- Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver's license
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance
- Able to work indoors and outdoors and tolerate temperatures of 0 to 140 degrees
- Able to stoop, bend, work up to 10 hours with a high level of manual dexterity, walk on uneven ground, pull, and push
- Must have valid driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe lifting
- Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
- Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
- Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
