Description
Design analog and mixed-signal circuits for CMOS image sensors, including:
- Pixel arrays and architectures.
- Column amplifiers.
- Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
- Bias generators and reference circuits.
Circuit simulation and verification, including:
- Run detailed SPICE simulations.
- Perform corner analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Temperature and process variation analysis.
- Noise analysis and optimization.
Layout design and verification, including:
- Create and optimize analog circuit layouts.
- Ensure compliance with design rules.
- Perform parasitic extraction and post-layout simulations.
Technical documentation and collaboration, including:
- Collaborate with digital design, system architecture, and test teams.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Support chip verification and validation.
Performance optimization, including:
- Improve sensor parameters like H-banding, noise, linearity, etc.
- Address cross-talk and other interference issues.
Requirement:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on mixed-signal circuit design.
Must have skills in:
- Digital MOS VLSI circuit design and layout; circuit simulation and synthesis.
- MOSFET operation and models; Elementary amplifier configurations; biasing and references; frequency response; noise; feedback; operational amplifiers; frequency compensation; non-linearity and mismatch; passive and active filters.
- System and transistor-level analysis and design of integrated circuits.
- Schematic design, simulation, layout, post-layout verification of analog, mixed signal integrated circuits.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $156,853 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
