Job Description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is looking for an Analyst (HR) Compensation, Benefits, Job Specialist IV for our government client in Washington, DC.

In this role, you will perform activities in the human resources area including employment functions such as screening, recruiting, interviewing and selection. In addition, the new hire will conduct research, development, application and evaluation of psychological principles relating to human behavior/learning and applying them to the characteristics, design, and use of the environments and systems in the workplace. Develops training methods and materials such as curriculums, lectures, videos, and job aids to improve performance. Performs statistical analysis and designs the evaluation of the resulting data. Conducts programs of compensation, benefits and job analysis. May specialize in specific areas such as position classification and pension programs. Plan, develop, evaluate, improve and communicate methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating and training workers.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct administrative and operational support to three senior executives including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and follow up on leadership priorities.
  • Coordinates complex office operations serving as a central point of contact for scheduling, facilities, staffing, access, supplies, technology needs, and administrative problem-solving.
  • Manages time and attendance functions for more than 70 employees, including payroll review, leave audits, correction of discrepancies, and coordination with employees and leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains and analyzes staffing rosters, organizational charts, personnel actions, workforce data, and office records used by leadership for planning, decision-making, and resource allocation.
  • Leads onboarding and offboarding activities by coordinating security access, IT equipment, workspace readiness, system access, orientation materials, and administrative requirements.
  • Plans and executes special projects, assessments, trainings, leadership meetings, and office-wide events, including logistics, participant communications, materials preparation, room setup, scoring documentation, and day-of coordination.
  • Supports hiring and personnel-related activities by coordinating interviews, assessment schedules, candidate materials, panel logistics, and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and improves administrative processes, trackers, templates, shared calendars, and workflow tools to strengthen organization, accountability, and efficiency.
  • Serves as liaison between senior leadership, employees, facilities, IT, HR, security, and other Department offices to resolve issues and keep operational priorities moving forward.
  • Handles sensitive and time-critical administrative matters requiring discretion, accuracy, independent judgment, and coordination across multiple offices.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High school diploma or its equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of general experience

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • US Citizen
  • Ability to pass a background/finger print check.
  • SECRET clearance is required.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  • $90,000-$95,000.
  • The compensation range or hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable laws.
