Job Description

Join our Data Science team as an Analytics Product Engineer, where you'll own stakeholder-facing analytics and reporting in a modern, AI-native insurance data environment. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and product. Balancing rapid response to real operational questions with the delivery of durable, high-trust analytics products.

If you're a builder who enjoys turning messy business questions into durable analytics products, takes pride in data integrity, and ships insights, not just queries, this role is for you. We value people who move quickly, learn new tools, and deliver pragmatic solutions in fast-moving environments.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted analytics partner to business stakeholders, translating ambiguous questions into pragmatic, timely insights while exercising sound judgment about when prototypes should evolve into durable, decision-ready reporting.
  • Build analytics on a modern data stack, developing curated datasets in Snowflake and delivering high-impact BI through Power BI and other lightweight analytics interfaces when appropriate.
  • Own analytics products end to end, from design through delivery, ensuring dashboards and reports are intuitive, reconciled, well-documented, and trusted in high-visibility operational and strategic decisions.
  • Act as a data evangelist and team catalyst, sharing work openly, celebrating others' contributions, and helping raise analytics standards and data literacy across the team and broader business.

The above cited duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to the job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that an incumbent may be expected or asked to perform.

What We're Looking For

  • Insurance or Financial Services Experience. A solid understanding of insurance business concepts and how they translate into reliable, decision-ready analytics and reporting.
  • Modern BI & Data Stack Expertise (Required). Strong hands-on experience building analytics solutions on Snowflake and delivering polished, stakeholder-facing reporting in Power BI. Demonstrated mastery of semantic modeling, DAX, and performance optimization (Microsoft PL-300 certification or equivalent).
  • Builder Mindset. Strong SQL and Python skills with experience shipping analytics products beyond traditional dashboards (ie. lightweight data apps, AI-assisted workflows, or simple React interfaces). Moves quickly from prototype to trusted insight while maintaining high standards for data quality and performance.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity & Clear Communication. Ability to operate in imperfect data environments and clearly communicate assumptions, limitations, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Prior ownership of a reporting or analytics domain within insurance or financial services
  • Background outside of data or analytics before transitioning into the field

Experience Level

Mid-level (approximately 4-6 years in Analytics, BI, or Data roles). We value candidates who bring real-world perspective and judgment, not just technical skill.

Location & Work Model

  • This role is based in Iselin, NJ and requires regular in-person presence.
  • Candidates should expect to work on-site as part of a highly collaborative Data Science and business partnership environment.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $155,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.

Additional Information:

Full benefit package including medical, dental, life, vision, company paid short/long term disability, 401(k), tuition assistance and more
