Job Description

• Job Title: Animal Technician• Location: Boston, Massachusetts• Type: Contract To Hire• Compensation: $21 hourly• Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite• Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm; Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

Perform animal husbandry tasks, including providing food and water to animals
Evaluate animal health and assess animals for behavioral problems
Support research activities by providing research support services
Maintain facility sanitation and perform routine maintenance
Assist with scheduled weekend support once trained
Participate in facility tours for suitable candidates after resume review

Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma
Experience with care of animals (mice and rats)
Minimal animal handling experience
Willing to consider recent graduates interested in working with animals and in a lab setting
