AP Math Tutor

Tutor Doctor New Jersey is a locally owned tutoring company that has proudly served our community for over 15 years. We are currently seeking experienced AP Math Tutors to support high school students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses. Our greatest needs are in AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus (AB/BC), and AP Statistics, though candidates with experience in other AP and math subjects are also encouraged to apply.

This role is well-suited for educators and tutors who have strong content knowledge at the AP level and experience working with motivated students in rigorous academic environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, one-to-one tutoring aligned with College Board AP standards

• Support students with coursework, problem-solving strategies, and exam preparation

• Help students build confidence and readiness for AP exams

• Customize instruction to meet each student’s learning style and academic goals

• Complete session notes and progress reports in a timely, professional manner

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with AP math students and/or AP curriculum 

• Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more AP math courses

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, engineering, or a related field preferred

• Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience strongly preferred

• Reliable transportation required for in-home sessions (virtual opportunities are limited)
